The Morris County Cooperative Pricing Council (“MCCPC”) was established in 1974 by four municipalities—Randolph, Denville, Dover, and Roxbury. Managed by the Township of Randolph as the lead agency, the co-op has grown from those four municipalities to more than 300 government members.
Members include municipalities, counties, police and fire, school districts, sewerage and housing authorities, and municipal utilities authorities. Eligible members come from Morris County and the seven counties bordering it: Essex, Hunterdon, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, and Warren – an abbreviated member list by county appears in the right-hand column.
The MCCPC enables participating agencies to pool buying power and secure discounted pricing on a wide range of goods and services. Members currently have access to fifty-eight (58) MCCPC contracts covering items and services from road resurfacing, rock salt, and vehicles to sporting goods, uniforms, and janitorial supplies. Since 1974, the MCCPC’s shared-services programs have saved taxpayers more than $18 million.
Bid contracts are grouped into four categories – Spring, Autumn, Motor Vehicles, and Winter. Spring contracts typically go to bid in March; Autumn and Motor Vehicles in July; and Winter in August. Visitors can click any contract on the Bid Contracts page for details and downloadable documents.
